Olga Berg speaks at Global Telehealth Incubator event

North Well Health Global Telehealth, the largest integrated healthcare system in New York State, responded to the war in Ukraine by providing remote physician consultations to Ukrainian clinicians via Telehealth technology. So far, over 100 consultations in 20+ specialities have been completed. The results of the project illuminated global health inequities relative to access of Telehealth services, leading to the development of a model to build equitable Telehealth structures globally, named “The Global Telehealth Incubator”. The model works to leverage a functioning health system’s resources to provide a space for developing countries to lay infrastructure sustainably. UMC members Olga Berg, Eric Cioe Peña, Dr. Jonathan Berkowitz, and Brittany Armstrong all participated as guest speakers on a panel in Washington DC at the Global Telehealth Incubator event.

UCMOC provides an X-Ray machine to a hospital in Mukachevo, Ukraine, overcoming difficulties with shipping and size.

UCMOC partners with Northwell Health to provide life saving telemedicine to Ukrainians whose access to healthcare have been disrupted due to the war.

UCMOC helps a cancer patient receive cancer medicine through a collaboration with Krebsallianz.
