Ukrainian Cancer Patient Receives Medicine

UMC has collaborated with the German organization Krebsallianz to bring cancer medication to a patient in Ukraine. The individual had been successfully undergoing cancer treatment and using the cancer medicine, but the war in Ukraine disrupted access to medicine. The hospital had been trying to work with the pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca to acquire the medicine, but had not been successful. The individual needed medicine that they could not get.

UMC, upon learning of the situation, began to look for ways to help the patient. Fortunately, Krebsallianz, a German organization that focusses on providing cancer treatments and medicine to developing countries, was willing to assist in this situation. Through UMC, they have agreed to provide this vital cancer medicine to the patient.
